How this site works

 

BidOnMyAuto.com is the site where we want to bring buyers and sellers together. Here's how it works:

 

Buyers

  1. Click on "BUY"
  2. Browse through the different makes and models of the vehicle you are interested in.
  3. When you see a vehicle of your choice, click on the ad to view vehicle and seller information, then click on  "BID"  to contact the seller and place your offer, or purchase the vehicle at the listing price.

 

Sellers

  • NEW USERS
  1. Click on "SELL" to get started
  2. Click on register, if your a Dealer, select "DEALER" or "PRIVATE SELLER" and register to get started
  3. If your a Dealer, check your email to view activation letter that has been sent to you, then activate your account. If your a private seller, you won't receive an authorization letter, you just need to register.
  4. After your account has been "ACTIVATED" click on "SELL" then sign in and choose your package.
  5. Select your listing, then follow the step by step instructions on uploading the vehicle you're selling. Depending on the package you've selected, you can upload up to 18 photos, upload a video of your vehicle, or you can upgrade to the featured section on the front page to get instant visibility.
  6. After uploading your listing, you have to click on "MY LISTINGS" on the left navgation to ACTIVATE your listing once you have already paid.


 RETURNING USERS

  1. Click on "SELL"
  2. Sign in to get started
  3. Select your package
  4. Follow the step by step process on uploading your vehicle
  5. Pay for your listing
  6. Upon payment, your vehicle listing will be displayed for ALL buyers to view.

Uploading a video to your vehicle listing

*PLEASE NOTE: If you have a video of your vehicle on any electronic device (phone, camera, I-pod, etc.) you can transfer it to your computer, then click on "BROWSE" in the text field located in the "Ad Information" page (this page is where you will create your vehicle information), then locate where on your computer you put your video. Once you create your ad, go to "My Listings" on the left navigation, and "ACTIVATE" your listing AND VIDEO in your " MY LISTINGS" link on the left navigation, your video of your vehicle will be on display for everyone to view.

You can also put your video on YouTube, then COPY the EMBEDDED CODE to the right of the video, and PASTE it into the YouTube Embedded Code text box located in the middle of the " Ad Information" page. Once you create your ad, pay for your listing, and "ACTIVATE" your listing AND VIDEO in your " MY LISTINGS" link on the left navigation, your video of your vehicle will be on display for everyone to view.
